What is Urology?
Urology is the medical specialty dedicated to the treatment of disorders and diseases related to the male and female genital and urinary organs.
These organs include the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, prostate, and genitalia. St. Luke's Mountain States Urology is dedicated to ensuring that adult and pediatric patients with genitourinary problems receive the most advanced and comprehensive care available in the region.

St. Luke's Clinic Urology is committed to quality patient care in every aspect of our practice. We are our patients' advocates, and it is our goal to not only treat the problem but treat the patient and involve the family in the patient's plan of care as much as possible.
|Tullio Celano, MD earned his medical degree from State University of New York in 1966. He completed his internship at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, New York in 1967 and his surgical residency at the University of Vermont in 1969. He served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1969-71. He received his license to practice medicine and surgery in Idaho in 1972, followed by his urology residency at Roosevelt University in New York, becoming chief resident in 1975. Dr. Celano has been a board certified urologist since 1977. He was in private practice in the Boise area from 1975 to 2007 and joined St. Luke's Clinic Urology in Twin Falls in 2009. He is a member of the Impotence Institute of America and the Northwestern Urological Association.|
|David Bowyer, MD earned his medical degree from Ohio State University in Columbus. He completed his surgery and urology internship/residencies through the University of California-Davis, followed by his first staff urologist position with Kaiser-Permanente Medical Center in Vacaville/Vallejo, California. Dr. Bowyer is board certified and a member of the American Urological Association. He has published research studies in professional journals and was awarded the Round Table Prize of the AUA Western Section. Dr. Bowyer is the first urologist in Idaho to perform cryotherapy.|
We try to stay on time, as a courtesy to you and others. Since paperwork may take a few minutes, please arrive early. As emergencies do occur, there may be occasions when your appointment time will be delayed. We will always try to keep you informed in the event of a delay, and will be happy to reschedule your appointment, if you prefer. We ask that you respect the appointment time we have reserved for you, and call 24 hours ahead to cancel or change appointments so that others may be helped during that time.
Communication with your provider is extremely important. It may be helpful for you to write down questions for your doctor or nurse practitioner prior to your visit. Bring a list of medications and the dosages, or bring the bottles with you.
Make sure you understand any instructions you are given. If clarification is needed, review your instructions with the provider or medical assistant before you leave. If you aren’t doing well after your visit, we want to hear from you. Our goal is to improve your health.
We accept most insurance plans, including Medicare, in-state Medicaid, Tricare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and others.
Talk with your provider at each visit to be sure your prescriptions are up to date. For refills, contact your pharmacy. Your pharmacy will then contact our office for verification and approval. For patient safety, narcotics cannot be refilled outside of office hours. Talk with your provider before your prescription runs out, and please allow 48 hours for refills.
