Breastfeeding 101
New and expectant mothers learn breastfeeding basics. Babies and support person are welcome. Sessions are held on the second Monday of the month. Pre-registration is required; call 814-0407.

Infant Safety and CPR
New parents, grandparents, and caregivers are encouraged to attend this class to learn infant CPR and what to do if an infant chokes. Hands-on practice is included. Child safety, injury prevention, and proper installation of car seats are also discussed. For information, call 814-0407.

This is not a certification class. Pre-registration is not required.

Prepared Childbirth Education
A comprehensive program designed to prepare expectant mothers and their support person for labor, childbirth, and early parenting. This class includes wellness of the expectant mother, expectations of the labor experience, a tour of our maternal-child units, relaxation and breathing techniques, videos of deliveries and labor positions, preparation for cesearean birth, post-partum care, newborn care, CPR for infants, including foreign body airway obstruction, car seat safety, and home safety.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring two pillows. A support person is encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is required.

Are you ready for parenting?

Courageous Hearts: A Pediatric Cardiac Support Group
St. Luke's Boise and Meridian
A support group for families affected by pediatric heart disease. Children and adults are welcome. No enrollment limit, free of charge. Click here to learn more.

Free car seat inspection and child passenger safety awareness events are conducted by certified safety seat technicians, courtesy of Safe Kids of the Magic Valley. Inspections are held year-round.
