A two-day radiothon in the lobby of St. Luke's Health System's Boise hospital last week netted more than $18,000 for St. Luke's Children's Hospital.

The 36 Hours for Kids Radiothon, produced by 107.9 Lite FM and Townsquare Media and hosted by DJs Kevin and Brenda Mee, was live from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 12 and 13. The radiothon featured on-air interviews with 17 St. Luke's physicians and staff members as well as appearances from 12 families that shared their stories of strength and healing through the family-centered support and care offered at St. Luke's Children's Hospital. Manning the phone bank were 68 volunteers who helped more than 220 donors pledge a total of $18,653.51 for St. Luke's Children's Hospital.

All of the funds raised during the radiothon will go to St. Luke's Children's Hospital, Idaho's only children's hospital. St. Luke's Children's Hospital is a Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
