During this one night class, you will learn all of the basics and how tos of caring for your newborn.
We will cover comforting, diapering, bathing, feeding, cord care, and sleeping.
We will also discuss immunizations, circumcision for boys, jaundice, and car seats.

Prerequisites
For expectant and new parents of infants up to 6 months old.
Registration is required and a full payment must be made at the time of registration. Please note that if there are less than 5 people enrolled in the class, the class may be cancelled. You will be notified before the class if this occurs. No refunds are given for this class, unless it is cancelled by us or a medical condition prevents you from attending class. Otherwise, you may transfer to another class within six months of the original class date.
If you are a St. Luke's employee, please do not register online unless you are registered in the Path Through Parenthood (PTP) program. Those enrolled in Path Through Parenthood can register online using the discount code provided in the program.
St. Luke’s Employees NOT enrolled in Path Through Parenthood, need to call St. Luke's Connect at (208) 381-9000 to register to receive the employee discount. No refunds will be issued if you continue to register online.

Registration Instructions
Please have your spouse, partner, or other support person who will be with you during your labor and delivery.
Participants, guests and facilitators are asked to use hand sanitizer when entering the classroom and after returning from break.
Food and beverages will not be provided. Personal snacks and drinks may brought and enjoyed on breaks.

Special Instructions
The information provided in our Birth and Parenting classes is designed for general educational purposes only.
This class is conducted in St. Luke's South Tower Anderson Center (5th floor) which is directly east of (and attached to) the South Tower parking garage where free parking is available. The South Tower ground-level pedestrian entrance is just east of the cul-de-sac at the corner of W. Bannock Street and N. First Street. Motorists should enter the South Tower parking garage at 101 W. Bannock Street and park on level 4 (top) in spaces designated for patients. Enter the South Tower building through entrance 4A, proceed through the double doors, and take stairs or elevator to the 5th floor Anderson Center.
Anderson Center Parking
Convenient parking for visitors is located in the South Tower Parking Garage. The garage can be entered from Bannock Street between First and Second Streets. Park on the roof of the garage and enter the adjoining South Tower through Entrance A. The Anderson Center is located on the 5th floor of the South Tower.
Handicapped parking is located along Bannock Street between Avenue B and 1st Street. Enter the building through the Bannock Street/Anderson Center entrance adjacent to the parking area. Take the elevators to the fifth floor.
