Life after Stroke Support Group: Twin Falls

Venue & Location

Gwen Neilsen Anderson Rehabilitation Center, 775 Pole Line Rd. W., Twin Falls, ID 83301

Description

Both patients and family members experience major lifestyle changes following a stroke. To help adjust to life after stroke, we offer a stroke support group for patients and families. In addition to group discussion that offers encouragement and support, each meeting includes a brief presentation by a medical expert. We welcome anyone whose life has been touched by a stroke, regardless of where they were hospitalized or treated.

The Aphasia Support Group currently partners and meets with the Stroke Support Group. Aphasia is a disorder involving language comprehension and communication, commonly occurring after a brain injury, such as stroke. Persons living with Aphasia and their families are invited to develop a social network to enhance their communication and well-being through meeting others who are also living with this communication disorder.

Groups are the second Friday of every month from 1-2 p.m.
