Our clinic allows patients with a suspected or established disorder of movement to be evaluated by a multidisciplinary team in one convenient appointment. We will provide a personalized care plan to meet your unique needs, share our recommendations with your referring provider, and connect you and your caregivers with community resources helpful in managing your disease.

Who benefits from the Movement Disorder Clinic?

Our clinic is designed to support patients diagnosed with ataxia, dystonia, essential tremor, Parkinson’s disease, Parkinson-plus disorders, Huntington’s disease, multiple system atrophy, tardive dyskinesia, tic disorders and Tourette syndrome, Wilson’s disease, myoclonus, restless legs syndrome, or another movement disorder.

We are equipped to assist patients:

  • Who are experiencing medication related complications, intolerance or failure
  • Who have not previously been evaluated by multiple therapies
  • Who may require evaluation/modification of their social/living circumstance
  • Who have not recently undergone neurological evaluation
  • With mobility issues due to movement disorder
  • With durable medical equipment needs
  • With swallow and speech needs
  • With challenges in activities of daily living

What should I expect at my appointment?

Appointments at the Movement Disorder Clinic last approximately four hours. Patients with a suspected or established disorder of movement will be evaluated by a:

  • Movement neurologist
  • Physical therapist
  • Speech therapist
  • Occupational therapist
After your appointment, a visit summary and care recommendations will be mailed to you and your referring provider within ten business days.

The Movement Disorder Clinic is part of St. Luke's Clinic – Neurology in Boise. While we are happy to answer any questions you may have, we require a referral to schedule an appointment. Please speak with your current provider about a referral.
