Cyrus Ali, MD, FACS is a general surgeon with a broad range experience, including some advanced laparoscopic procedures. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Ali earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry with first class honors from McGill University.
Caroline Arthur, MD specializes in a broad range of emergency and elective surgical conditions, including diseases of the colon, small intestines, gallbladder, and appendix. She has a special interest in both simple and complex hernias and has extensive experience with minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Arthur also performs robotic surgery for hernias and some colon/small intestine issues, as well as emergent conditions such as gallbladder, ulcer, and intestinal diseases. Her robotic procedural expertise includes hernia repair, colectomy, small bowel resection, and cholecystectomy.
Dr. Arthur is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Americas Hernia Society.
Richard Ballantyne, DO has particular interest in advanced laparoscopic hernia and colon surgery as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He is skilled in the performance of da Vinci® robotic surgery for hernia, GERD; diverticulitis; colon cancer and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). His robotic procedural expertise includes inguinal and ventral hernia repair, hiatal hernia repair with fundoplication, partial colectomy, sigmoid colon resection, and splenectomy.
Originally from the Treasure Valley, Dr. Ballantyne earned his bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University. He is a member of the Idaho Medical Association and Ada County Medical Society.
Dr. Barresi earned his bachelor's degree in cell and structural biology from the University of Illinois. He is a member of the Idaho Medical Association and Ada County Medical Society.
Ashlee Bauter, NP specializes in family practice and believes that evidence-based practice and a therapeutic relationship are solid foundations that help patients succeed. She is experienced in reproductive health, breast cancer, and post-operative care.
Ashlee earned her bachelor's degree from the College of Idaho and her master's degree in nursing, advance practice nurse, from Idaho State University. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
James Elder, MD specializes in a broad range of emergency and elective surgical conditions. He has special interest in hernias, and any aspect of general surgery.
Dr. Elder is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, skiing, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and sports.
Amber Elliott, DO performs a wide range of general surgery procedures as part of the St. Luke's Clinic – Acute Care and General Surgery team. She also has expertise in robotic surgery for inguinal and ventral hernias.
Originally from the Treasure Valley, Dr. Pedracini is excited to be able to practice medicine at home. In her free time, she enjoys downhill skiing, camping, wakeboarding, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Ethan Ferrel, MD is a board certified general surgeon with a particular interest in robotic minimally invasive surgery in both the elective and acute care settings. He completed a fellowship in robotic minimally invasive and advanced gastrointestinal surgery, where he gained extensive training in the latest robotic minimally invasive surgical techniques, including abdominal wall reconstruction, antireflux surgery, and surgical treatment of diseases of the small intestine and colon. He is also experienced in a wide range of trauma surgery and critical care.
Dr. Ferrel is an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Hernia Society, and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Originally from Washington, Dr. Ferrel earned his bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University. In his free time, Dr. Ferrel enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and traveling.
Andreas Hennig, DO specializes in a broad range of emergency and elective surgical conditions. He has special interest in minimally invasive robotic surgery, foregut and anti-reflux surgery, as well as any aspect of general surgery.
Dr. Hennig is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Foregut Society, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering and a master’s degree in business management from Purdue University.
Dr. Hennig is passionate about music and learning new languages. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors with his wife and children.
Wendy Jones, PA-C is a physician assistant at St. Luke's Clinic-Cardiothoracic and Vascular Associates, and has experience in general surgery.
She earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology and athletic training from California Polytechnic State University and her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University. She served as a collegiate soccer coach at Washington State University and Boise State University. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants, and American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants.
Wendy enjoys mountain biking, backpacking and traveling with her husband, friends and family.
Megan Jones, PA-C is a nationally certified physician assistant who specializes in acute care general surgery. She earned her bachelor’s degree in radiologic science from Boise State University and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Idaho State University. Megan is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Kellan Kading, MD came to St. Luke's from Swedish Medical Center in Seattle where he was part of the General Surgery Residency Program. He has an interest in gallbladder, small intestine, colon, hernia, and anorectal procedures. He enjoys the challenges of general surgery and taking care of his patients.
In his free time Dr. Kading enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Clayton Miller, DO is a general surgeon who practices a broad range of emergent and elective general surgery. His practice includes hernia repair, colon surgery, bowel surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and melanoma surgery as well as other general surgery procedures. He performs open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries.
Dr. Miller is from Boise originally and is excited to start a practice in his hometown. In his free time, he enjoys golf, skiing, hiking, fishing, and spending time traveling with his family.

Colin Soares, PA-C earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in biology from Boise State University, including an emphasis in the molecular and cellular biology of prostate cancer. He is a nationally certified physician assistant and practices in general surgery.
Reese A. Verner, MD, FACS specializes in general, laparoscopic, and oncologic (cancer) surgery. He also has expertise in robotic surgery for hernia repair.
Dr. Verner served as a major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps Reserve. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association, and Idaho Medical Association.
