Continue Your Journey at St. Luke’s

St. Luke's is proud to offer a variety of residency programs to support the development of expertise and competency in providing care to a wide variety of patients. We welcome and encourage any qualified applicant to apply for these programs.

We also partner with outside institutions to offer graduate medical education physician residency programs across three primary disciplines: family medicine, internal medicine, and psychiatry.

Physician Residency Partnerships

    Family Medicine Residency of Idaho (FMRI)

    St. Luke’s has been partnering with FMRI to teach physicians training in family medicine for over 40 years! Tracks include training in both rural and urban settings.

    University of Washington Internal Medicine Residency

    This program includes both internal medicine and specialty medical rotations. A Continuity Clinic in Boise allows some residents to develop their own panel of patients during the three-year program.

    University of Washington Psychiatry Residency

    We primarily teach third and fourth year psychiatry residents at our Boise hospital. We have hired several program graduates as psychiatrists who now teach new residents while caring for our patients.
