Jennifer S. Anderson, MD

Jennifer S. Anderson MD, PhD, MS, Med, FACC is fellowship-trained in cardiology, with board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and echocardiography. She is experienced in advanced imaging and lipid management (diplomate of lipidology).

Dr. Anderson's clinical practice focuses on diagnosis and management of a wide variety of heart conditions. Her areas of special focus include prevention (in collaboration with Lifestyle Medicine), sports and exercise cardiology (in collaboration with Dr. Robyn Bryde), and cardiac care of master's athletes as well as tactical athletes (military, fire fighters, veterans). She also holds an appointment at the Boise VA Medical Center.

Prior to her medical education, Dr. Anderson earned graduate degrees in nutritional sciences, exercise physiology, as well as clinical and population translational sciences.

Dr. Anderson has served our community within Treasure Valley for well over a decade. She is a former Division I collegiate track and field athlete, Boston Marathon finisher, and has competed in several Olympic distance triathlons and cycling events. She enjoys backpacking, suspense novels, and spending time with her husband and boys.
