Tobias P. Gopon, MD

Tobias (Tobi) Gopon, MD, ABFP, CAQSM is fellowship trained in sports medicine, specializing in non-operative sports medicine for pediatric and adult injuries. His areas of focus include shoulder, hip, and knee injuries; concussion and fracture management; and lumbar spine pain. He specializes in image-guided procedures including ultrasound guided joint injections, Tenex procedures and lumbar epidural steroid injections (ESIs)/medial branch blocks and ablations.

Dr. Gopon is currently serving as the team physician for the Boise Timber/Thorns youth soccer club, Boise Hawks, Nampa High School, and the Idaho Interscholastic Mountain Bike League. He also travels to support the U.S. national ski team.

During his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Utah, he cared for members of the U.S. national ski and speed skating teams, University of Utah student athletes, and winter sport athletes as a physician at Park City Ski Clinic.

Dr. Gopon earned his bachelor's degree at St. Olaf College. He played collegiate and semi-professional soccer, and continues to play in Boise's adult league. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, fly fishing, skiing, and mountain biking.
