About Heather M. Kohring, NP

Heather Kohring, FNP-C has special interests in hepatitis C and liver disease. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming and her registered nursing degree from Maric College. She earned her master’s degree in nursing, nurse practitioner, from the University of Wyoming.

  • Not sure how I feel about the recent experience. The first one was good, this one felt pressured. She wants to nickel and dime her patients and not listen to their concerns financially. I miss Ward. She stressed me out this recent visit and didn’t care. She told me one thing and then did the next between the two appointments I have had with her. Broke my trust. I am considering my options even if it means going to Boise. I left the appointment mad and mad in a way I was almost crying all over labs. She believes every insurance policy is equal and they are not. Until she understands her patients standpoint and what they tell her since she has acquired since Ward has retired. I feel this pairing isn’t going to work. She had originally told me that my labs from outside for my wellness would be fine and we would base them from there. A lie. She requested labs. Turning a $125-$145 visit to a probably $400 visit. Her response to that well I feel that insurance companies should have a certain allowance for labs. I looked at her and laughed at her when I knew I was getting nowhere. I have taken or messaged all my outside labs to whoever my physician has been. The most recent ones I was willing to get to her and she denied them. “Since they are not recognized on my chart.” She won’t listen to me and I am not going to have that. What happened to the patient comes first?! How that’s right St Luke’s is for profit when they are a nonprofit.
