About Courtney M. Swantek, MD
Courtney Swantek, MD specializes in the care of hospitalized patients. She has lived abroad in both Spain and Peru, studying Spanish and worked in different health care systems, and still maintains an interest in rural and global health in addition to hospitalized medicine.
Dr. Swantek was born and raised in Boise, and earned her bachelor's degree from the College of Idaho. In medical school, she found a passion in caring for hospitalized people of all ages, and pursued a dual residency in internal medicine and pediatrics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, and dog. She also enjoys hiking, woodworking, and DIY-ing.

What is a Hospitalist?
Hospitalists are doctors who specialize in caring for adults during a hospital stay. At St. Luke’s, our hospitalists are board-certified and specially trained to manage complex medical conditions and make accurate diagnoses.
Our hospitalist team also includes skilled nurse practitioners and physician assistants who help with care delivery, teaching, and care coordination.
