Kristie K. Tamer, NP

Kristie Tamer, MSN, AGACNP-BC is a skilled and compassionate nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology with years of experience in advanced cardiovascular care. She is board certified as an adult/gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP-BC).

Kristie has a background in managing patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions, including advanced heart failure therapy, heart and lung transplantation, congenital heart disease, arrhythmias, and post-operative management of cardiac surgeries.

Originally from Michigan, Kristie earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Wayne State University and her master's nursing, focusing on acute care nurse practitioner studies, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Kristie worked over four years as a nurse practitioner in the Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU (CTICU) at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, following eight years as a CTICU nurse at both UCLA and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She also has experience as a hospice care nurse, bringing a well-rounded approach to patient care.

After working in Los Angeles, Kristie continues to pursue her dedication to patient-centered care and advancing cardiovascular treatment in Idaho. Outside of work, Kristie enjoys staying active outdoors, traveling, exploring her creativity through drawing and painting, and spending quality time with her family, her boyfriend, and their dog.
