About Karen Y. Vest, NP

Karen Y. Vest, FNP-C specializes in the care of hospitalized adults. She has expertise in cardiovascular critical care, acute care, and family medicine, and has special interests in providing compassionate care that acknowledges the uniqueness of every person creating strong therapeutic relationships built on trust and respect. Additionally, she aims to empower patients to make informed decisions regarding their health to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Karen is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Boise State University, a bachelor's degree in environmental and occupational health from California State University Northridge, and a master's degree as a family nurse practitioner from Northwest Nazarene University. In her free time, Karen likes to spend quality time with her family enjoying the performing arts and outdoors.

Hospitalists are doctors who specialize in caring for adults during a hospital stay. At St. Luke’s, our hospitalists are board-certified and specially trained to manage complex medical conditions and make accurate diagnoses.

Our hospitalist team also includes skilled nurse practitioners and physician assistants who help with care delivery, teaching, and care coordination.
