Description
This class is designed to prepare you and your support person for labor, childbirth, and the early postpartum time period.
We will cover:
- Your wellness
- The labor experience including the phases and stages of labor
- Relaxation techniques, including massage, music therapy, and visualization exercises
- Breathing techniques
- Videos of both vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Positions for labor
- Pain medication/anesthesia options
- Preparation for cesarean birth
- Your care postpartum

The information provided in our Birth and Parenting classes is designed for general educational purposes only.
Dress comfortably. Please bring your spouse, partner, or other support person.
Bring two full sized bed pillows.
This class is conducted in the McCall Admin Conference room.
- You can park in the hospital’s main parking lot located off Forest Street.
- Enter through the Hospital entrance.
- After entering, proceed to your right, go past registration, turn right, just before the elevator Go through the double doors and turn right. The conference room is at the end on the left.
- Look for the signs or ask at front desk for directions.
