Description
This course provides comprehensive education if you've been newly diagnosed with diabetes. Topics include:
- carbohydrate counting and meal planning
- medications
- blood glucose monitoring
- physical activity
- pattern management
- goal setting
- healthy coping strategies
- preventing complications
- hypo- and hyperglycemia

You must get a referral from your doctor to register for diabetes education. Insurance will pay for the class with a doctor's referral, so the cost will depend on what your insurance will pay.
