Climate change, economic trends and public health are deeply interconnected. As global temperatures rise and environmental challenges intensify, nations also face slowing economic growth and increasing political polarization. These overlapping dynamics shape health outcomes, influence policy, and affect societal resilience. In this lecture, Dr. Matt Burgess from the University of Wyoming will examine how these forces interact and what they mean for the future of global wellness. The session will offer insights into the complex relationships between climate, economics and health, while exploring pathways toward sustainable and equitable solutions.
People are struggling to breathe, and inhalers are part of the solution. But inhalers can also contribute a significant portion of carbon emissions. There may be choices available that are clinically equivalent and have a significantly lower carbon footprint.
Presenters: Dr. Gregg Furie; Dr. Samantha Green; and Kathleen Silveira, PharmD
