Earlier this month, as part of National Rural Health Day, St. Luke’s announced that each of our critical access hospitals have earned a 2025 Performance Leadership Award for excellence:
- St. Luke’s Elmore and Jerome in Quality
- St. Luke’s McCall in Patient Perspective
- St. Luke’s Wood River in Outcomes
Compiled by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, the Performance Leadership Awards program recognizes top quartile performance (i.e., 75th percentile or above) among rural hospitals in Quality, Outcomes and/or Patient Perspective.
“Whether it’s emergency care, performing robotic surgery or delivering babies, St. Luke’s critical access hospitals are an essential and robust part of the rural communities that we serve,” said Dennis Mesaros, St. Luke’s vice president of population health for Boise, Elmore and McCall.
“This year’s recognition across all four of St. Luke’s critical access hospitals is a powerful reflection of the dedication and expertise that our team members bring to their work every day and the impact they have on the health of our communities.”
Michael Topchik, executive director at Chartis Center for Rural Health, said “The areas of quality, outcomes, and patient perspective are cornerstones of health care delivery across rural America, and this year’s Performance Leadership Award recipients are establishing a standard of excellence for their rural peers to follow.”
