Sports Cardiology Services

We provide thorough evaluations to ensure your heart is in peak condition to help you meet your fitness and competitive athletic goals.
- Pre-Participation Screenings: Whether you’re a concerned parent of a school-aged athlete, an elite athlete, or a weekend warrior with heart health concerns, a pre-participation screening may be a reasonable consideration before starting a new sport or intensifying your training regimen.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET; also known as a VO2 max test), heart rhythm monitoring, and cardiac MRI may be used to detect and monitor heart conditions.
- Risk Assessments: These are used to identify potential heart issues that could impact performance or safety. Personal and family history are key to the cardiac risk assessment. Any concerning cardiovascular symptoms will also be addressed.
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Expertise
Symptom Management
People with HCM can have a variety of symptoms. Our goal is to make you feel better so you can lead an active lifestyle by targeting symptoms attributed to HCM.
Risk Assessment for Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD)
We provide a comprehensive assessment of family history, cardiac imaging findings and heart monitor results. We work closely with radiologists to identify high-risk features commonly found on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.
Family Member Screening
Because HCM is a genetic condition, it's important to screen all first-degree family members. We offer cardiac assessment and genetic testing to help identify family members who may have the condition. Our experienced cardiologist interprets results and offers counseling to support informed decision-making and care planning.
