Managing Diabetes for a Safer Delivery
St. Luke’s Diabetes and Pregnancy Program offers comprehensive, coordinated care for individuals navigating pregnancy with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or related metabolic health concerns. Whether you're currently managing a diagnosis or planning for a healthy pregnancy in the future, our multidisciplinary team is here to support you every step of the way. This program is also ideal for those at increased risk, such as individuals facing challenges with weight management or metabolic health, who want to optimize their health before conception.
Our services include preconception counseling, personalized medication and nutrition management, prenatal ultrasounds and non-stress testing, lactation support, behavioral health consultations, diabetes education, and ongoing monitoring for potential complications. We also provide delivery planning in close coordination with your OB-GYN, and collaborate with specialists in lifestyle medicine and bariatric surgery when needed.
In addition to your OB-GYN, your care team may include experts from St. Luke’s maternal fetal medicine, endocrinology, Humphreys Diabetes Center, behavioral health, and lactation services. Together, we work to ensure the best possible outcomes for both you and your baby, supporting your health journey with compassion, expertise, and continuity of care.
