Diagnostic Breast Imaging
Beyond Screening
When a screening mammogram shows something that needs a closer look, St. Luke’s makes it easy to get the follow-up care you need quickly and close to home. We offer advanced diagnostic breast imaging services, including:
- 3D diagnostic mammography (available at all locations)
- Breast ultrasound
- Contrast-enhanced mammography (available in Nampa)
- Image-guided needle biopsy
- Stereotactic breast biopsy
- Pre-operative breast localization
- Direct access to breast MRI and nuclear medicine sentinel node procedures
After your diagnostic imaging or biopsy, we’ll schedule a follow-up phone appointment to review your results. One of our experienced nurse navigators will call to explain your imaging and/or pathology findings and guide you through the next steps.
If your results lead to a breast cancer diagnosis, you won’t be alone. Our nurse navigators—registered nurses with specialized experience in cancer care—will be by your side to answer questions, coordinate your care, and support you throughout your journey.
