Multiple sleep latency testing (MSLT) is done immediately following an overnight sleep study to evaluate daytime sleepiness.
After you wake up, we'll remove some of the sensors and give you time to relax. The test consists of five naps scheduled throughout the day separated by 2-hour breaks.
If your overnight study shows evidence of a sleep disorder, your MSLT may be canceled or shortened. Your referring provider should have the results of your sleep studies in two to three weeks.
