Concussions present with a wide range of symptoms and often are misdiagnosed or undiagnosed resulting in serious, lasting consequences. Research into more effective concussion prevention measures and treatments will help us mitigate the harmful effects of concussions in the developing brains of children.
The St. Luke's Sports Medicine Concussion Clinic leads various research projects in order to better serve our patients, their families, and our community. We partner with St. Luke’s applied research, Boise State University, and various youth sports organizations in this important work. Our research goals are to inform best practices, provide better care, improve health in our community, increase patient quality of life, and decrease the cost of concussion care.
