Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a condition that affects the heart's ability to function normally. At its core, HCM is a genetic condition characterized by abnormal thickening of the heart muscle. This thickening can impede blood flow and lead to various health issues.

Understanding and managing HCM is crucial because, if left untreated, it can lead to serious complications such as heart failure or sudden cardiac arrest. Early diagnosis and appropriate management can significantly improve quality of life and overall heart health.
