Triplets often come early, and Abby, Gabby and Riley were no exception. They were born at just over 31 weeks, and spent a month in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise.
They may have been born tiny, but their hearts are big. When their good friend was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Abby, Gabby, Riley and their big sister Isabella wanted to help. They were inspired to form a rock band called “The Runaway Hamsters.” They sold copies of their song, “Runaway” and raised $1,750, which they gave to St. Luke’s Cancer Institute to help kids with cancer.
And that was just the beginning. They haven’t looked back, and along the way they decided that they love helping others. They know that so many people were involved in helping them when they were in the NICU, and now they love to pay it forward.
