Leigh Beglinger, PhD is an outpatient clinical neuropsychologist. She provides neuropsychological evaluations for teens ages 16+ and adults with cognitive difficulties, offering diagnosis and treatment recommendations, including pre-surgical evaluations for deep brain stimulation surgery. She works with a broad range of neurological conditions, including movement disorders like Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases, essential tremor and dystonia, complex concussions, post-viral syndromes such as long covid, dementia, and neurological and medical conditions (e.g., multiple sclerosis).
Dr. Beglinger earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Idaho and her doctoral degree at Washington State University. She completed her clinical internship at West Virginia University Hospitals and her postdoctoral residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. After serving as an assistant and associate professor at the University of Iowa, earning tenure for her research in Huntington’s disease and delirium associated with medical conditions, she returned to Idaho in 2011 to join St. Luke’s.
