Jay Burrup, PA-C, MS specializes in hand, plastic, peripheral nerve, and reconstructive surgery. He has experience spanning general surgery, acute care, orthopedics, and spine, and is a board-certified physician assistant through the NCCPA.
Jay uses a patient-centered approach that prioritizes the patient’s experience, recognizing the significant impact of thoughts and feelings on overall outcomes. He finds the diagnostic process for musculoskeletal disorders intellectually stimulating and values the moments of connection that foster trust and respect. He especially values the rewarding experience of witnessing patients regain function, reduce pain, and improve their overall perspective.
Jay earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology and athletic training from Boise State University, and his master's degree in physician assistant studies from Pacific University. Raised in the Treasure Valley, he enjoys a balanced lifestyle outside of his practice. He enjoys reading, playing guitar, and exercise, and learning new skills in various home improvement projects.
