Angie Hernández-Harris, LCPC is a licensed clinical professional counselor and registered supervisor for counselors and social workers in the state of Idaho. She is also an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist and consultant. Angie supports the bariatric surgery clinic and obesity and metabolic program (OMP) by using her knowledge of the impact of adverse childhood experiences and trauma on health, as well as multiple therapies to address mental health and behavior change. She supports patients with non-surgical weight loss plans, those preparing for surgery, and those who have had a recurrence of weight gain following surgery.
As a Latinx, bilingual and biracial counselor, Angie’s primary focus of counseling is to offer a safe, inclusive space where healing the wounds of complex and generational trauma can begin. Angie’s lived experiences intersect with her work, which focuses on advocacy for all survivors of abuse. She offers a client-centered and trauma-informed approach for people of all backgrounds who want to work on their treatment needs.
