James E. Loveless, MD, FACR is the medical director of St. Luke's Rheumatology, practicing with a team of providers specializing in treating autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and Sjögren's syndrome. As the founder of the first osteoporosis program in Idaho, he also has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and currently serves as medical director of the St. Luke's Osteoporosis and Bone Health Program.
In addition, as part of the rheumatology and bone health teams, Dr. Loveless takes an evidence-based approach to diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases and osteoporosis, providing comprehensive care, and striving to support colleagues and patients across the region. He and his team are actively involved in clinical trials investigating new treatments for arthritis and osteoporosis.
Dr. Loveless is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He is also a member of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the International Society of Clinical Density.
In his free time, Dr. Loveless enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and enjoying all Idaho has to offer.
