David McClusky, MD, FACS, CPHQ is the chief quality and safety officer for St. Luke's and has been practicing general surgery in the Wood River Valley since 2013. He has pursued multiple different curricula in health care quality improvement, including the Advanced Training Program in Healthcare Delivery Improvement at Intermountain Health.
Dr. McClusky has also distinguished himself as a physician leader, both during his time at Emory University and with St. Luke’s. He has served in leadership roles within the surgical services service line, and he has also served as our system medical director for simulation. He has served in medical staff leadership roles, both locally in Wood River, and at the system level as the chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He serves as the current chairman for the Idaho Board of Medicine.
