About Emina Mustafic

Biography

Emina Mustafic, LCSW utilizes a therapeutic approach that draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy to address difficulty in regulation emotions and unhealthy thinking patterns. She also uses eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), accelerated resolution therapy (ART), trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT), and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) as trauma-focused approaches. 

Emina has an extensive background in working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, in part by using moral reconation therapy (MRT). Emina is a certified Global Appraisal of Individual Needs (GAIN-I) interviewer. Additionally, Emina is an Idaho Supreme Court-approved domestic violence evaluator. 

Emina earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Boise State University, and is currently working toward obtaining a doctoral degree.
