About Deric W. Patterson
Biography
Deric W. Patterson, MD, MSPH, HMDC is medical director for St. Luke's Hospice in Boise and has a passion for helping patients transition from disease-centered to comfort-focused care. He believes in a holistic approach, collaborating closely with nurses, social workers, and chaplains to help support patients and families on their own individualized paths.
Dr. Patterson also has experience as a hospitalist, where he developed expertise in guiding patients and families through complex medical issues including symptom managment, goals of care, and end-of-life issues.
