About Madelaine C. Ryan

Biography

Madelaine Ryan, ACNPC-AG is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with a passion for helping cardiac patients live longer, healthier lives. She focuses on evidence-based treatment to prevent progression of disease and has a special interest in valve disease, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM), and women’s heart health. She also serves as the American College of Cardiology team chapter representative for the state of Idaho.

Originally from Boise, Madelaine obtained a bachelor's degree from Idaho State University prior to earning a master's degree in nursing and clinical nurse leader certification at Augusta University. From there, she found her love of cardiology working as a bedside nurse in the cardiac ICU at Duke University Medical Center, caring for highly complex patients with a variety of medical conditions.

Madelaine returned to Idaho to attend Boise State University for her nurse practitioner degree. While completing her studies, she worked at St. Luke's as a clinical nurse educator, ensuring nurse competency and promoting evidence-based practice. When COVID-19 hit, she returned to the ICU to help care for victims of the pandemic, and joined St. Luke's Clinic – Idaho Cardiology Associates after completing her studies.

In her free time, Madelaine enjoys exploring the Idaho outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.
