Skyler S. Shippen, MD practices the full spectrum of family medicine, including women's health and pediatrics. He has special interest in international medicine and adolescent medicine, and enjoys working with patients who have disabilities.
Dr. Shippen is passionate about community service. He has volunteered for the Special Olympics as a basketball coach, and worked with Journeys Development Disability Agency as a volunteer and field trip coordinator. He also organized and taught diabetes seminars in the West Indies and raised money to fund local availability of glucometers, test strips, and diabetes education.
Dr. Shippen studied medicine internationally at Ross University School of Medicine and completed his medical school rotations at Central Michigan University. Prior to his medical education, he served an LDS mission in Madagascar and earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
Originally from Idaho, Dr. Shippen grew up on a cattle ranch. He is married with four children and loves playing electric guitar, fishing, dirt biking, and helping his kids raise 4H animals.
