Cory Shuler, NP specializes in general cardiology, working in both the hospital and outpatient clinic caring for patients with conditions such as coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias. He places particular emphasis on supporting patients through active listening and education to help ensure they understand their diagnosis and care plan.
Prior to joining the cardiology team, Cory worked as a nurse practitioner in gastroenterology and hepatology. He developed an interest in cardiovascular medicine during his time as a registered nurse working in both critical and cardiopulmonary care.
Cory earned bachelor's degrees in psychology from the University of Kentucky and in nursing from Boise State University. He completed his master's degree in nurse practitioner studies at Idaho State University.
In his free time, you'll find Cory outside. He loves whitewater kayaking, skiing, mountain biking, and adventuring with his wife and two children.
