Certified Genetic Counselor
Amy Stenhouse, MS, CGC, CCGC has a special interest in the implementation of advanced genetic screening and testing options in the preconception and prenatal setting. She is passionate about reproductive freedoms and access to these options. In addition to her clinical role, Amy supervises genetic counseling graduate students, provides education to local OB providers and medical residents, and serves on the Augustana-Sanford Genetic Counseling Graduate Program Advisory Board.
Amy earned her master's degree in genetic counseling from the Augustana-Sanford Genetic Counseling program. She worked for St. Luke's before leaving to be a genetic counselor in the Medical Genetics Clinic and Hereditary Cancer Clinic at the University of Alberta Hospital. Amy is excited to be back at St. Luke's and serving the community of Boise and the surrounding areas. Away from work, she enjoys gardening, baking, and spending time outdoors where she rides mountain bikes, hikes, runs, and taking her dog with her on the water.
