Speech-Language Pathologist
Erin Tanksley, MA, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist specializing in outpatient neurologic rehabilitation for adults with a variety of diagnoses including stroke, brain injury, concussion, long COVID (PASC), head and neck cancer, dementia, and other neurodegenerative diseases. Her professional interests include aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, dysphagia, cognition, and voice.
Erin believes in a person-centered approach to therapy with a focus on functional, real-life activities to help patients target their personal goals. She strives to help patients recover and maintain as much independence as possible with cognitive-communicative tasks, and encourages patients to enjoy life, regardless of where they are on their recovery journey.
Erin earned her bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University, and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Memphis. She is a certified brain injury specialist and a certified dementia practitioner. Additionally, she received the Distinguished Early Career Professional Certificate from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, dining at new restaurants, watching documentaries, and spending time with her family.
