CHIP, the complete health improvement program, is a scientifically proven program to prevent, treat, and even reverse chronic disease through lifestyle changes and has been published in more than 40 peer-reviewed research papers over 3 decades, with more than 75,000 graduates worldwide.
CHIP has been a service offered by St. Luke’s for 7 years to hundreds of local employees, patients, and community members.
Pivio is the expanded, redesigned next generation of CHIP.
Pivio is based on the fact that 75% or more of our Western diseases are “lifestyle-related,” according to the U.S. Surgeon General. These diseases are connected to our processed diet; lack of exercise; overuse of cigarettes, alcohol, and caffeine; increased levels of stress; and the quality of our support systems.
These diseases/conditions include:
At the beginning of your Pivio course, you’ll undergo a health screening, including blood work, to establish your risk factors. Your results will be provided to you early in the program. You’ll be encouraged to share your results with your health care provider so you can work closely regarding your medications and lifestyle modifications. The screening will be repeated at the end of the course and you’ll receive a detailed report comparing your risk factor levels before and after.
To see if this program might be a good fit for you, visit the Pivio website or check out their video library. We hope you'll be inspired to change your life!
