Garrett Coman, MD specializes in evidence-based medical and surgical dermatologic care for patients of all ages. He appreciates how dermatology allows him to combine his clinical interests in patient-centered care and preventative medicine with research interest in improving dermatologic diagnostics and therapeutics. He is committed to excellent patient care and building relationships over time with his patients.
Dr. Coman received an undergraduate degree in economics from Pepperdine University. Next, he attended medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine where he also earned a master's degree in biomedical engineering focused on medical device design. He also completed a dermatopharmacology research fellowship in the Maibach Lab at UCSF and a clinical trials research fellowship at Virginia Tech before returning to the University of Utah for his internship in internal medicine and dermatology residency. He continues to enjoy working with colleagues across the country on dermatology innovation projects to improve education and patient care.
Originally from Boise, Dr. Coman is thrilled to be serving patients in the Wood River community and close to his family in Idaho. In his free time, you can find him outside skiing, mountain biking, trail running, backpacking, fly fishing, and hunting, with his dog by his side whenever possible.
Peter B. Ferrara, MD is experienced in family medicine and obstetrics. He travels overseas yearly focusing on reducing maternal and infant morbidity and mortality.
In his free time, Dr. Ferrara enjoys traveling, gardening, skateboarding, snowboarding, sports, Latin dancing, and playing guitar.
Matthew C. Reeck, MD specializes in the treatment of skin cancers. He has a particular interest in prevention and early detection of skin cancers in high risk populations as well finding minimally invasive methods for treating them. He focuses on individual patients and their overall health when deciding on treatment options.
Dr. Reeck believes that education about the disease process is the best way for a patient and a physician to make a decision on a treatment plan. Treatment plans take into account patients’ favorite activities so as to keep them on the mountain, on the golf course, on the pickleball court, etc.
Dr. Reeck is a member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has served in various capacities in state and national medical societies advocating for health policies that benefit patients and communities. He has also participated in numerous free skin cancer screenings in the communities where he has lived and as an outreach in more rural areas.
In his free time, Dr. Reeck enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
