Our team offers you the most advanced and comprehensive care in the region for urologic health. We serve both adult and pediatric patients with genitourinary problems such as urologic cancer, urinary stress incontinence, overactive bladder, urinary tract infections, pelvic organ prolapse, kidney stones, and erectile dysfunction. Our team of experts have training in specialty areas such as reconstructive urology, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (urogynecology), male voiding dysfunction, urologic oncology, andrology (men's sexual health), and laparoscopic and endoscopic urology.
Services include minimally-invasive laparoscopic procedures, da Vinci® robotic-assisted surgical and medical treatment of urogynecology conditions including pelvic organ prolapse, and prostate cancer, including prostatectomy; minimally-invasive robotic prostate surgery; HoLEP®, UroLift™, and Rezum™ for enlarged prostate (BPH); and vasectomy and vasectomy reversal.
We also offer radiation and chemotherapy in association with St. Luke’s Cancer Institute, hormone therapy, and cryosurgery for prostate and kidney cancer.

Jennifer Gruenenfelder, MD works to form long-term relationships with her patients to improve their quality of life. Prior to moving to Idaho, she spent 19 years with a large urology group practice in California where she was actively involved in research trials on new treatments for overactive bladder. She has extensive experience with the Axonics® treatment system for urinary and bowel incontinence and her practice has been recognized as an Axonics Center of Excellence for the quality of her patient outcomes.
Dr. Gruenenfelder sees patients in Boise, Meridian, and Wood River and performs surgeries in the Boise and Meridian St. Luke's hospital.
Sophia Nyswyn, PA-C treats both men and women and has a special interest in female urology. She specializes in conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTI), incontinence, and pelvic pain.
Sophia earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Idaho State University and is a member of the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants. She was raised in India, and moved to Boise in 2002. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
Craig R. Spencer, MD provides care in all aspects of adult and pediatric urology, including urologic oncology, male and female voiding dysfunction, and stone disease. He performs open, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and robotic surgery, and is experienced in the minimally invasive Rezum™ treatment for BPH.
Dr. Spencer continues to serve as a commander in the Naval Reserves.
Kenneth Verlage, MD focuses on educating patients on their conditions and working with them to find the options that work best for their specific cases.
Dr. Verlage is originally from Texas and was in private practice in Portland before deciding to relocate to Boise where he plans to remain long term.
Maggie Vuturo, MD, is a urologist who is board certified in both urology and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (commonly referred to as urogynecology). She specializes in all aspects of adult female and male incontinence, overactive bladder, stress urinary incontinence, advanced pelvic organ prolapse, neurogenic bladder, vesicovaginal fistula repair, sacral nerve stimulation (Interstim), da Vinci® robotic sacrocolpopexy, intravesical BOTOX®, neurourology, and complex urodynamics. She has a special interest in treating advanced pelvic organ prolapse and caring for adults with voiding dysfunction that is due to neurogenic conditions such as spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, stroke, and multiple sclerosis (MS). She also treats general urologic conditions such as kidney stones.
Dr. Vuturo earned her medical degree and completed her urology residency at the University of Arizona, and completed her fellowship in female urology and male voiding dysfunction at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. She takes pride in getting to know and forming relationships with her patients to help improve their quality of life.
Dr. Vuturo performs surgery in St. Luke's Boise, Meridian, and Wood River hospitals.
