St. Luke's Clinic – Family Health: Boise, McMillan Rd.

Our team sees people of all ages, through all phases of life, whether you need preventive care or treatment for a specific condition or acute illness. We promote the concept of a medical home, emphasizing a continuous relationship with a provider coordinating care for both wellness and illness. We believe that knowing you over many years, and knowing your family, helps us understand how your healthcare impacts your life.

At our clinic, we offer a wide scope of services, including wellness exams and physicals, women’s health, newborn and pediatric care, sports medicine, surgical procedures, dermatology, fracture care, orthopedics, allergy testing, bone density screening, and more. We also have on-site lab and X-ray facilities. If your condition requires a specialist, we’ll help refer you to the appropriate provider.

Our clinic has after-hours telephone services available if you have a medical question and aren’t sure if you need an appointment or if you should go to an urgent care or emergency department. Our symptom checker offers educational information on various conditions, and provides advice regarding home care or first aid, when appropriate, as well as instructions on when you may need to call your provider, call 911, or go to an emergency department. It also offers dosage tables for common over-the-counter drugs.

The information in our symptom checker is designed with patient safety as the highest priority. Each care guide is reviewed by physicians, specialists and nurses for accuracy.

    Jennifer Lucas, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and has experience in orthopedics.

    Jennifer earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Idaho State University.

    Tenessa MacKenzie, MD provides care for whole families, from infants to the elderly. She likes the challenge of optimizing and simplifying her patients’ health, such as using lifestyle changes to treat medical conditions and minimizing use of medications when appropriate. 

    Dr. MacKenzie’s professional interests include reproductive health care, pediatric and adolescent medicine, and medical education.

    Ali Makki, MD practices a broad range of family medicine, focusing on preventive medicine and improving the quality of life for his patients with chronic conditions. 

    Dr. Makki practiced medicine throughout the Middle East before settling in Idaho. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and family.

    Douglas McMahon, DO provides primary and preventive care to adults and children as a family practice physician. He is dedicated to compassionate care and personal attention to all his patients. Dr. McMahon manages chronic conditions and evaluates and treats acute illnesses. Outside the office he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters.

    Paige Moore, MD practices comprehensive medicine, treating patients of all ages and families. She is interested in preventive care and fostering a patient-physician team approach, encouraging patients to modify their lifestyles when appropriate to prevent or alter disease. Dr. Moore manages acute and chronic conditions, and performs minor procedures including IUD and Nexplanon insertions.

    Molly Nichols, PA-C enjoys treating both men and women of all ages and backgrounds. She has a special interest in chronic disease management, women’s health, and performing in-office procedures. 

    Molly earned her master’s of physician assistant studies from Oregon Health and Sciences University. She also attended Oregon State University  where she earned her bachelor’s degree in health management and policy.

    When she is not seeing patients, Molly enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, the outdoors, alpine skiing, traveling, and attending concerts.

    Heather Powell, FNP-C is passionate about primary care and enjoys helping patients live healthy and active lifestyles. She emphasizes prevention in her practice, and encompasses diagnosis of common and complex ailments while managing illnesses for all ages and genders. She earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of Idaho and one in nursing from Idaho State University. Heather earned her master's degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Frontier Nursing University.

    Jon Schott, MD specializes in family medicine, chronic disease management, and geriatrics. He is particularly interested in “patient-centered medical home” transformation. Dr. Schott enjoys playing a role in the administration of health care, and currently serves as the medical director of St. Luke's Health Partners.

    Dr. Schott founded Eastern Oregon Medical Associates with three partners before affiliating with St. Luke’s.
