Adaptive Functioning

Assessing adaptive functioning or behaviors is vital to finding neurodevelopmental disorders. At St. Luke's, our experts evaluate and diagnose many conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Intellectual disability
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Language disorder

Adaptive behaviors cover a wide range of developmentally driven and age-appropriate skills in both social and practical needs. Evaluating how well your child is able to function helps us identify potential supports, treatment recommendations, diagnostics, and understanding of behaviors.
