Speech-Language Pathologist
Karissa Cummings, MS, CF-SLP is a medical speech-language pathologist with a special interest in cognition-communication and swallowing disorders resulting from acquired brain injuries. She also has passion for treating language, speech, and voice disorders, as she firmly believes that everyone deserves the ability to communicate their needs, thoughts, and ideas with the world around them.
Karissa has had experience working with patients of all ages and with diverse backgrounds. She frequently works with traumatic brain injuries, concussions, strokes, dementia, and various neurodegenerative diseases. She seeks to refine her skills and understanding of best assessment and treatment practices through daily professional growth and continued education.
Outside of work, Karissa loves to spend her time with family, listening to audiobooks, and trying—though often failing—new recipes.
