Jacob Larsen, PA-C has special interests in lifestyle medicine and a strong belief that healthy lifestyle choices are the core of a quality life and good health.
Jake earned his bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor chemistry at Weber State University, and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Idaho State University. While studying for his bachelor's degree, he served as a volunteer bilingual interpreter for McKayDee Hospital and received grant funds for research in alternative medicinal practices among the indigenous population in Guatemala, which included herbal remedies and healing practices performed by curanderos, or traditional healers. He traveled to Guatemala and interviewed many of the curanderos and documented the use of differing plants used by the people for medicinal purposes. He has a love for serving the Latin-American population and a passion in learning about new cultures and backgrounds.
Apart from work, Jake enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exercise, hiking, construction work, and learning.
