Matthew Hunt, PA-C truly enjoys working in family medicine. He is passionate about preventive health care and practices what he preaches: eating a healthy diet, prioritizing regular exercise, and feeding the brain positive content to support a healthy mind. Before focusing on family medicine, he worked at a hormone clinic where he gained extensive experience treating low testosterone in men.
Matthew earned his master's degree in medical science from Lincoln Memorial University, where he was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society.
In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, travel, photography, chasing storms.
Joshua Hutchinson, LCSW has many years of diverse experience in mental health. He specializes in infant mental health and child development (0 to 5 years), addiction recovery, depression, stress and anxiety management, and leadership development.
Josh employs several modalities of evidence-based treatment in his practice including solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral strategies, and other mindfulness practices. He also has extensive training in using dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) with individuals and groups. In his current role, Josh works closely with medical providers to offer patients a team-based approach to high-quality mental health care. Josh has a passion for service and is always prepared to help others in professional and community settings.
Josh earned his master’s degree in social work from Louisiana State University. He is married with three children and is committed to maintaining balance between his professional and personal life. At home, he is passionate about applying values consistent with good mental and spiritual health.
In his free time, Josh enjoys spending time with his family in nature and exploring Idaho. He and his wife also enjoy traveling the world.
Steven Kohtz, MD is a family medicine physician with special interest in geriatric medicine and teenage medical care. He also has extensive experience performing vasectomies. He is passionate about meeting patients where they are, with the patient as the head of the health care team and the physician acting as a trusted counselor.
Dr. Kohtz serves on the board of trustees for the Idaho Medical Association (IMA) and is the current president-elect. He also works within St. Luke’s as a medical director, partnering with other primary care providers to drive the highest possible quality of care.
Dr. Kohtz earned his bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and biochemistry from the University of Idaho. He completed medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Originally from Twin Falls, Dr. Kohtz loves growing up and growing old alongside his patients in the tight-knit agricultural community his family has lived in for generations. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, and fly fishing. He also loves supporting his daughters' interests in dance, gymnastics, cross country, and piano.Jacob Larsen, PA-C has special interests in lifestyle medicine and a strong belief that healthy lifestyle choices are the core of a quality life and good health.
Jake earned his bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor chemistry at Weber State University, and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Idaho State University. While studying for his bachelor's degree, he served as a volunteer bilingual interpreter for McKayDee Hospital and received grant funds for research in alternative medicinal practices among the indigenous population in Guatemala, which included herbal remedies and healing practices performed by curanderos, or traditional healers. He traveled to Guatemala and interviewed many of the curanderos and documented the use of differing plants used by the people for medicinal purposes. He has a love for serving the Latin-American population and a passion in learning about new cultures and backgrounds.
Apart from work, Jake enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exercise, hiking, construction work, and learning.
Jennifer Quesnell, NP is part of a team-based family practice. She is passionate about preventative health care, caring for chronic medical conditions, and patient teaching. She strives to provide a safe environment for all patients to communicate health concerns and goals.
Jennifer earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Boise State University and a master's degree in nursing from Maryville University. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
In her free time, Jennifer loves spending time with her family, travelling, and reading.
